Our Mission

Nelson Elementary exists to ensure each child achieves Washington's standard for all academic areas.  To accomplish this mission, Nelson's teaching teams share responsibility for engaging all students in learning.  They are aware of the diverse needs of all students and use all possible resources to differentiate instruction to support learning.  Nelson staff believe every child has the capacity and right to learn.  We foster passion and curiosity for staff and students alike.  We continuously reflect on our instruction and its influence over achievement.
